Clean Turkey "Chili " with Beans
Ingredients:
1 pound ground turkey1 (15.25oz) can low/no sodium organic black beans. drained and rinsed
1/2 cup onion, chopped
2 - 3 cloves chopped garlic
1 can (14.5oz) diced no salt added organic tomatoes, undrained
1 can (8oz) tomato sauce - no salt added
1 Tablespoon +chili powder
1 small bag frozen whole kernel sweet corn
Preparation:
In a large skillet, cook turkey with onion for 5 - 10 minutes, or until turkey is browned*Add remaining ingredients. Cover and simmer 10 to 15 minutes.
*Maura's note: I would HIGHLY recommend you brown the ground turkey until it is carmelized. It will add a depth of flavor that turkey that is just browned until it is no longer pink lacks. I'd also recommend you jazz the ground turkey up with Clean seasonings that appeal to you. Without it, the chili is rather bland.
